The Refurbishing Program through GreenTEK, a division of JM Murray, offers a variety of cleaning and repairing techniques for reclaimed materials and products that can be reused in various industries for a fraction of the original production cost.

Refurbishing Monofilament Spools

GreenTEK provides refurbishing services to monofilament plants and copper wire manufacturers.  Both the material and the spools are refurbished.

We first remove all identification and process labels and inspect the spools for obvious visual damage. The spools are then segregated by material type and the residual line is removed using our proprietary process. We then return the material to the manufacturer for reuse. The spools then go through our stringent quality assurance process, and are returned to the manufacturer for reuse as well.

Once sent to the manufacturer they wind the line onto the refurbished spools, which are shipped around the world to sister manufacturing plants. The various types of belts, or "paper clothing," are woven, and the spent spools eventually come to GreenTEK again for refurbishment.

GreenTEK refurbishes more than 1 million spools, and recovers nearly 1 million pounds of plastic each year! The process also allows the company to reuse the spools more than a dozen times at a fraction of the cost of purchasing new spools.

In addition to spools, GreenTek also has experience refurbishing parts for the automotive industry, and meeting comprehensive inventory and on-demand daily reporting and shipping.
