Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Facilities and Maintenance Director is responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of all plant buildings, installations, equipment and tools. The Director carries out special maintenance, installation and fabrication projects and secures appropriate and economical external resources when the scope or nature of such projects is beyond the resources available within the company. This position also oversees the adherence to preventive maintenance schedules for all facilities systems (HVAC, fire, security, etc.) and major items of equipment as well as the periodic and/or special maintenance on all company vehicles.
Requirements: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 years of Facility and Mechanical maintenance experience; Candidates must also have at least 5 years of successive supervisory responsibilities and positions. Experience must also include demonstrated working knowledge of general construction practices; masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation and wiring, heating and air conditioning, insulation, machining, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, soldering and welding; general skill in the use and repair of shop tools equipment; and a working knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
