Description

The Public Relations/Administrative Coordinator will be a new position for JM Murray in the new year and will play a key role in marketing our organization through social and mainstream media platforms, coordination of fund raising and staffing events, as well as the administrative tasks and record keeping associated with the Board of Directors for JM Murray and its affiliates.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Marketing:  Through input from key personnel, develop and coordinate marketing of the Company through social media, email blasts and targeted campaigns, creation of flyers and brochures, and updating news and events on the company website.

Fund Raising:  This position is the driving force behind all fund raising efforts, from development of plans and initiatives to implementation of approved activities.  Duties include coordination of logistics, such as obtaining venues, catering  and supplies; communicate with participants and vendors; track registration, attendance, and receipts; and preparation of materials. This position will coordinate non-fund raising company events as well.

Administrative Functions:  Attend Board of Director meetings as well as those committees related to Fund Raising and Marketing in order to complete the functions of taking , preparing, and emailing the monthly Board Meeting minutes;  completion of the annual documentation review by Board Members, coordinating all logistics and details related to the Board Meetings including the Annual Board Meeting

Maintenance of Historical Records: Responsible for maintaining the archive of historical documents, photos and information and for the preparation of the Annual Report

Requirements to be considered for the position include:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or communication 
Three years of progressively responsible public relations and/or  administrative experience 
Significant experience in a similar position may be considered in lieu of educational requirement  

Candidates must have experience with:
Navigation and utilization of online media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Windows/Office Suite, Web content management and design
