Prevocational Services

The Prevocational Services at JM Murray can help to provide daily vocational support to people with developmental disabilities who are not yet ready to work in the community. The goals of these services are to enhance work readiness and provide vocational independence.

Our prevocational trainees participate in work activities at JM Murray’s Rt. 13 campus to acquire new, improve existing, and retain current work skills. We offer soft skill training, which provides individuals with the skills necessary to be successful in any occupation. Specifically, we teach trainees how to follow instructions and dress and act appropriately in a work atmosphere.
