JM Murray is seeking a Sr. Accounting Specialist for our JM Murray accounting department.  Reporting to the Controller, the Sr. Accounting Specialist prepares financial reports, completes journal entries and maintains the general ledger, performs account reconciliations, assists with audit preparations, sets up new accounts payable vendors, tracks and records critical cash flow items, records and deposits daily cash receipts, maintains record keeping and billing for grants, and carries out other accounting duties as assigned. This position routinely performs payroll functions to ensure functional back up to the Payroll Administrator.

The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills, time management, written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and productively in an independent and collaborative environment, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Must have flexibility to adjust to changes in priorities and assignments.

Requirements: Associates Degree and 3- 5 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate knowledge of General Accounting Principals and accounting functions. One to three year of experience with processing payroll-ADP Payroll experience highly desired.
