Phase 1 of New Employee Orientation includes 5 courses designed to educate staff on what developmental disabilities are, the history of living with a developmental disability, the desirable qualities of a DSP, and person-centered supports.
In Phase 2 of your New Employee Orientation training, we will expand more on compliance and safety-including your role as a mandated reporter.
The final phase is the NYS-OPWDD Fire Safety training. You will need to complete Phase 1, Phase 2 and Fire Safety to complete all of your Services Trainings. The HR department may also have additional required trainings in your account as well.
